What concerns me is how honest and open he is - in California there are powerful forces that would not appreciate his sense of ethic and style. With Meg Whitman torching her personal fortune to buy the election and Jerry Brown the likely nominee, I wish the good doctor luck. Perhaps a more regional political ambition to get started would be in order - there are plenty of knots to untangle right here in Marin and Sonoma. Frankly, the state as a whole is ungovernable and I question why he would bother to enter that rat's nest at this stage of his comfortable life. None the less I'm impressed with his values. Will I vote for him? I'm not sure.
