    Expertise: Working class upbringing and long time small business employer in both healthcare and technology.

    Crisis: California has one of the highest unemployment rates in the country. In some parts of the Central Valley the rate is nearly 40 percent. California has one of the worst business climates – especially for small businesses that generate the majority of California’s jobs.

    Ideas: There are reasons to be optimistic. California has a diverse and talented work force and excellent educational opportunities. We need to simplify regulation, reduce red tape, provide aggressive investment credits and provide targeted tax relief.

    Results: These aggressive actions are the best ways to bring new permanent high quality private sector jobs in California, which is uniquely qualified to capitalize in the areas of emerging high technologies in resource creation and modernization.
